Facebook helps you find free Wi-Fi in different parts of the world

The social network Facebook has released an update for iOS and Android. From now on, mobile apps will feature Find Wi-Fi, which will help you find free internet anywhere in the world.

It is reported by http://techshift.net/ with reference to the Facebook Newsroom.

«Last year, we launched the» Find Wi-Fi «function in several countries and found that it would be useful not only for traveling users but also for those who are in areas where the mobile Internet is bad,» — said the technical Director of Facebook Alex Hemel (Alex Himel).

The Find Wi-Fi feature lets you see on the map (or as a list) companies near the user who have free Wi-Fi.

It is located in the Facebook mobile applications on the Advanced tab.

However, according to the Techcrunch edition, the option is not yet fully reliable. Because in order for the access point to be found, the owner of the facility should place information about its availability on the organization’s page in Facebook.

Recall that recently, Facebook has announced a separate application for users who create a variety of videos and distribute them through the social network.

In April, the analytical platform Sensor Tower comprised a rating of non-mobile mobile applications, which most frequently downloaded users in the first quarter of 2017. Five of the most popular include 4 applications from Facebook.
